Uniforms 

Marching Jackets and Hats   - Fittings at Registration August 19th & 20th
All  Band Fees are due at Registration 

Other Required Items needed, for sale through the Boosters at Registration:

    • Marching Shoes
    • Uniform Belt
    • Band Concert Tie
    • Music T-shirt
    • Boys Orchestra Shirt
    • Girls Orchestra Cross Tie
    • Jazz Shirt & Tie (only for students that audition and become a part of one of the bands)
Other Required Items needed to be purchased by each student's family:
Band
  • V -neck plain white (no logos) undershirt -Fruit of the Loom / Hanes CLICK TO SEE
  • Dennis Uniform Pants
  • Black "nylon" dress socks - not all cotton (it fades)
  • Men's White Dress Shirt - for concerts
Orchestra
  • Boys: Black plain style Dress Pants, Black Belt, Black Shoes
  • Girls: Ankle Length Black Skirt, White Long Sleeve Blouse with a Collar

 Fundraisers

Fundraisers are used to help offset the Transportation Costs,
Event Entrance Fees and Upkeep of Tuffree Instrumental Equipment .

$160.00 - Upfront Payment - for 32 sees mini holiday items
(Any money recieved from the sales, Student's family keeps)

$80.00 Buy-Out Option for this Fundraiser

Carl's Jr. Fundraisers

On the day of The Placentia Heritage Day Parade & The Yorba Linda Fiesta Days Parade
Carls Jr.  
on Imperial  (just past Rose Dr.)

Donates 25% of all food purchase back to Tuffree Instrumental Music

Flyers are needed at the time of purchase 
(will be handed out or available on the website) 

Holiday Gift Basket Raffle

During the Holiday Concerts in December - Gift Baskets are Raffled during Intermissions

We ask all Band & Orchestra members to donate items to be used to put together various themed baskets. Each Band & Orchestra Student is given (10) $1.00 raffle tickets to sell. 
Additonal tickets are available to sell if needed,
as well as additional tickets for sale the evening of the concert.


EVENT FLYERS
There will be an Event Flyer that ALL students receive prior to ALL Events, with all important information regarding the particular event.  Middle School students often "forget" to give these to parents and guardians! They are very often lost in the "BLACK HOLE" known to others as Backpacks.
Please ASK you child about these flyers in the week prior to an event!
For your convienence we will also post event information on the website

Volunteers

  • Parade Support:Help with water and grooming students during the parade
  • Uniforms:Help on Event days getting kid dressed, some minor hemming, sorting uniforms after dry cleaning
  • ZERO Period Videoing: Parents are  needed to take turns videoing zero period marching practice for Mr Hahn to use as a teaching tool. - Using Band Video Camera

Zero Periods


ZERO PERIODS are scheduled several times for Band & Colorguard during the Marching Season, from September - November.
During the normal school day the band is split up into several different periods.
Zero Period provides a time where the entire Band and Colorguard can practice marching together at one time.
During Concert Season - ZERO Periods are scheduled before Performances so that the enire band can practice together.

Fees & Payments

During the year there are times that payments are needed for various item:
(tickets, drumsticks, needed uniform items, etc.)

in the Band Room - outside Mr Hahn's Door
is where ANY payment is to be placed for the Treasurer to pick up.
*there will be a $20 fee for any checks returned for insufficient funds
