Tuffree provides students with a 2 month introduction to marching band followed by an exciting concert band season. The marching band marches in the Placentia Parade, the annual PYLUSD Band Pageant, and Knotts Berry Farm. The concert band performs at the Holiday, Adjudicated, District Area Night, and Spring concerts. The group meets every day during either 1st, 5th, or 6th period as well as some full band, zero period rehearsals.  There are a few mandatory afterschool performances and at-home practicing is always encouraged.

The percussion class follows the same schedule as the band, but meets everyday during 2nd period.
